- An honest plan: body fat and posture are the real levers, not miracle jaw hacks

What a jawline analysis reads
Five things a camera can judge about a jaw: definition (how sharp the edge is), the gonial angle (the corner of the jaw), chin projection (how far the chin comes forward), jaw width, and the submental area (under-chin tightness). Some are bone and some are body fat - the report is clear about which is which, and never pretends a recessed chin is a grooming fix.
What actually sharpens a jaw
The single biggest honest lever is body fat: a lower body-fat percentage reveals whatever jaw structure you have and tightens the submental area. Posture, reducing bloat, and a defined beard line change how it reads day to day. What doesn't change without surgery is the bone - the gonial angle, chin projection and jaw width - and there is no good evidence that mewing reshapes an adult jaw. The report says all of this plainly.
The 5 markers, explained
Definition
How sharp and clean the edge of the jawline reads versus soft or blurred - the headline of a strong jaw.
Gonial angle
The angle at the corner of the jaw. A crisper, more acute angle reads as more defined; an obtuse angle reads softer.
Chin projection
How far the chin projects forward. Good forward projection reads strong; a recessed chin (retrogenia) reads weaker.
Jaw width
The width and structure of the jaw and ramus relative to the face - a broad, well-supported jaw reads more masculine/defined.
Submental
The under-chin and neck area. A tight submental line reads sharp; fullness or a double-chin softens the whole jaw.
What each tier means
Chiselled
A sharp gonial angle, strong chin projection and a clean, tight jawline. Roughly 1 in 100.
Defined
A clear, sharp edge with a decent gonial angle and forward chin - a real asset.
Average
A normal jawline with a moderate angle - where most faces land.
Soft
A gentle jawline with limited definition; some of it is body fat, some is structure.
Recessive
Soft, undefined edge with a recessed chin or heavy submental fullness - the most to gain from body-composition changes.

What actually makes a strong jawline?
Five things a camera can read: definition (how sharp the edge is), the gonial angle (the corner of the jaw), chin projection (how far the chin comes forward), jaw width, and the submental area (under-chin tightness). Some of these are bone; some are body fat and posture.
Can I actually improve my jawline?
Partly, and the report is honest about which parts. The biggest genuine lever is body fat - a lower body-fat percentage reveals whatever jaw structure you have and tightens the submental area. Posture and reducing bloat/sodium help how it reads day to day. What you can't change without surgery is the bone: the gonial angle and chin projection are largely fixed, and the report says so plainly instead of selling you a fix.
Does mewing work?
Honestly: the evidence is thin. Tongue posture may have a small effect on developing children over years, but there's no good evidence it reshapes an adult's jaw or gonial angle. We won't tell you it will. Body fat, posture and grooming are the levers that actually change how your jaw reads in a photo.
What photo works best?
A straight-on or slight-profile photo in even light, head level and chin neutral (not tucked or lifted), with the jaw and neck visible and unobscured by collars or hair. A tilted chin or strong angle distorts the read - the confidence score tells you how reliable it was.
Is my photo kept private?
Scoring never stores your photo - it's used in memory to generate your result and discarded, and it's never sold or shared. The one exception is entirely yours: clicking "Save to my progress" stores that photo privately to your account for progress tracking, and you can delete it anytime.
