FAQ

How do I know if bangs will suit my face?

Hairstylists decide whether bangs suit a face primarily from three measurements: (1) Upper Facial Third share (hairline to mid-brow as a percentage of total face height), (2) Face Length-to-Width Ratio, and (3) Cheekbone-to-Jaw taper. If your upper third is tall (>34%) or your face length-to-width ratio is elongated (>1.44x), full or Birkin bangs shorten the vertical line beautifully. If your forehead is compact (<31%) or your face is wider/rounder, open-center Curtain Bangs or Side-Swept Bangs flatter without compressing your features.

Which bang style is the safest first choice?

Curtain Bangs and Wispy (See-Through) Bangs are universally flattering and low-commitment because they leave vertical forehead skin visible in the center, frame the cheekbones, and grow out into face-framing layers within 6-8 weeks.

Does my photo need to show my forehead?

Yes - pull any existing hair slightly back from your forehead and look straight into the camera so our 478-landmark detector can read your upper third, cheekbone width, and jaw taper.
