What a posture read looks at

Five things a camera can judge about posture: head position (forward carriage, or "tech neck"), shoulder level (uneven or rounded forward), spinal alignment (the visible curve of the upper back), hip alignment, and overall left-right symmetry. It reads how the carriage presents in this photo, not a diagnosis.

What actually helps posture

Screen and phone height at eye level, a gentle chin-tuck check a few times a day, and shoulders-back awareness during long sitting stretches are the honest, low-effort levers - the report never prescribes exercises or treatment, because that belongs with a physical therapist if real correction is the goal. This tool reads how posture presents visually, nothing more.

The 5 markers, explained

Head position

Whether the head sits stacked over the shoulders or carries forward ('tech neck') - best read from a side angle.

Shoulder level

Whether the shoulders read level and back, versus visibly uneven or rounded forward.

Spinal alignment

The visible curve of the upper back - a neutral line versus a visibly hunched or slouched silhouette.

Hip alignment

Whether the hips and pelvis read level, from what's visible in the frame.

Symmetry

Overall left-right balance of the visible frame.

What each tier means

8.5010.00

Neutral & aligned

Head stacked, shoulders level, back neutral - genuinely aligned. Roughly 1 in 20.

7.008.50

Mostly aligned

Reads neutral and level in most markers, with only minor drift.

5.507.00

Some drift

Mostly level and stacked, with a slight lean or unevenness here and there.

4.005.50

Noticeable drift

Some forward carriage or asymmetry - where most casual photos land.

2.504.00

Significant drift

A clear lean forward or rounding, still visible without looking for it.

1.002.50

Marked drift

Visible forward head and/or rounded shoulders in most photos - the most to gain from simple daily awareness.

FAQ

Is the posture rating actually free?

Yes. Your Posture Score, apparent carriage, tier, percentile, confidence and the full five-marker breakdown are free, with no account or payment. The written read on each marker plus an awareness plan are a one-time launch-offer unlock - the price is shown at checkout. No subscription.

Is this a medical or physical therapy assessment?

No, and it never claims to be. This reads how your posture presents visually in a photo - the same kind of read a photographer or stylist gives - not a diagnosis of any spinal, muscular or orthopedic condition. If something looks like it may need real attention, the report says a physical therapist or doctor is the right next step, not this tool.

What does the posture score measure?

Five visible markers from the photo: head position (forward carriage), shoulder level, spinal alignment (upper-back curve), hip alignment, and overall symmetry. It rates how neutral and aligned the carriage reads in this photo, not your health.

What's the fastest way to improve my posture score?

Simple daily awareness habits move the needle fastest: screen and phone height at eye level, a gentle chin-tuck check a few times a day, and shoulders-back awareness during long sitting stretches. The report never prescribes exercises or treatment - those belong with a physical therapist if you want a structured program.

What photo works best?

A side or three-quarter angle reads head and spinal alignment far better than a straight-on shot - a front-facing photo can still read shoulder level and symmetry, but head position and upper-back curve need the side view. The confidence score tells you how reliable the read was for your angle.

Is my photo kept private?

Scoring never stores your photo - it's used in memory to generate your result and discarded, and it's never sold or shared. The one exception is entirely yours: clicking "Save to my progress" stores that photo privately to your account for progress tracking, and you can delete it anytime.
